On behalf of our respected International Client, Logistics Solutions UK Ltd are seeking a pro-active, results driven, hardworking and capable senior sales manager to be based in the (UK) postcode area of DA18. The role is to manage a team of sales professionals, whose aim is to spearhead and drive genuine profitable growth in the European Freight Operations by offering integrated customer focussed solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business from potential customers in various sectors and enhancing business relationships with existing customers and will have a proven track record of success within the European freight and distribution market. Candidates should have extensive commercial experience at Board level. You will be well connected and possess first class communication and team leadership skills complimented by the commercial acumen to negotiate high value profitable contracts in the European business arena. - A good standard of Education and possess exceptional communication skills, written and verbal.
- Skilled in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and sales management systems.
- Proven customer relationship skills.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in sales management preferably within the freight and distribution sector
- Proven track record of achievement against demanding sales targets (both personal and team)
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, a team player, capable of building strong internal
- Hard working and dedicated to achieving results and developing and maintaining external relationships
- Strong proven sales negotiating and closure skills
- Influencing and change management skills
- Proven people management skills
- Good industry sector awareness
The Role: The role will command a basic salary of £55K plus a substantial sales bonus based on the achievement of specific targets. In addition a company car or car allowance is provided. The essential duties and responsibilities of the Sales Manager will be:
- The achievement of demanding but attainable sales targets agreed, in conjunction with the Managing Director – International, and in line with the goals of the company on an annual basis.
- The retention and development of existing customer accounts
- Ensuring customer satisfaction
- Managing and motivating a team of sales professionals with effective and open communication, to ensure that they achieve their targets.
- And, equipped with the right skills, knowledge, competencies to delight customers and achieve business results.
- Produce a monthly sales report on new customers and new routes you have acquired and a sales pipeline report on new business opportunities.
